Expectant parents will leave class feeling more prepared to care for their newborn. You will learn how to hold, swaddle, diaper and bathe your baby. We will discuss topics such as normal newborn characteristics, the newborn transition, when to bring your baby to the doctor, newborn care in the hospital setting including cord care and circumcision care, the newborn assessment, medications, and testing, sleep safety and the prevention of SIDS. Class Details: This is a no judgement class. You are the perfect parent for your child and I will encourage you to be the best new parent you can be. Class last approximately 1.5 hours.
